Wellesley Road had a lovely visit this morning from sausage the therapy dog from Therapaws.

Residents enjoyed giving sausage treats and cuddles!

We had a lot of fun at our Easter Party. The residents enjoyed entertainment, a lovely buffet and cake, games and a raffle.

Residents enjoyed tea and cake afternoon with families and friends and lots of Easter eggs! Everyone had a great time.

Our residents visited Shaw theatre on Saturday 3rd February to see The Beatles Reborn. We all had a fab time.

Residents were delighted to welcome Sir Michael Palin to Wellesley Road on 18th January for an afternoon of socialising, tea, cake and celebrating Frank’s 102nd birthday.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to Murphy's contractor for the TV donated today to Nairobi Unit's residents.

Wonderful day today in Camden as we officially welcomed Alejandro as Service Manager. We also took the opportunity to celebrate some long serving employees. 

Camden Mayor joined in the celebrations along with employees who were not on shift to work.

Eight members of the team were recognised as Wellesley Service Champions - they were thrilled!

We also celebrated three very brave employees who witnessed a stabbing and assisted whilst waiting for the paramedics. They showed wonderful bravery and kindness.

Well done to the whole team, what a wonderful day.

Residents were transported to the 60s and 70s with a fabulous singalong from Ben. What more could we ask for: It was a Friday, the sun was shining and the weekend was just around the corner. Wellbeing promoted for sure!

Wellesley Road were super grateful to receive a gift from Morrisons Chalk Farm in Camden. Residents and Staff appreciate how partnering with community organisations can reap dividends. Thanks again Morrisons.

Residents concluded the Coronation weekend with a singalong and afternoon tea with Chirag singing all the well known tunes...a marvellous time and full of fun! We wished The King and Queen a Happy reign.

Nurse Jezzel attended the Society of Tissue Viability conference where she acquired new knowledge and skills to treat skin and wound challenges. Thank you Jezz and welcome back.

Residents at Wellesley Road Care Home in Camden have been putting their creative skills to good use once again! Thank you Linda from Camden Adult Community Learning. A lovely banner has been made as a tribute to the New King. We are looking forward to the pomp and circumstance of the celebrations.

Cathy & Claudia promoted wellbeing with their May Day Show at Wellesley Road! A feel good atmosphere for sure. All of the residents loved it!

Wellesley Road care home residents created crowns in arts and crafts with Linda from Camden Adult Community Learning. The Coronation is promoting creativity as well as contributing to lovely reminiscence conversations.

Nurse Amyner and TL Abena, have recently graduated as Eye envoys of Wellesley Road care Home. By doing this, they can provide basic ophthalmic knowledge to care home staff and Improve community care for ophthalmic patients. Well done both!

Wellesley Road care home residents were delighted to receive Christmas cards from local North London schools taking part in the Cards of Care Project designed to reach out personally to care home residents. The cards brought a smile to lots of faces and illustrated how intergenerational contact can promote positive wellbeing.

Wellesley Road Residents have been busy recently! We have welcomed Belsize Square Synagogue Choir for the annual Get together with us all. A lovely time was had, singing all the songs we know and love and it promoted wellbeing for sure. We also welcomed Catherine from The Royal Collections Trust; We enjoyed a talk on Japanese culture and looked at interesting exhibits. A lovely way to spend the afternoon. Finally we created a festive themed banner, proudly displayed in the Activity Room. Many Thanks to Linda from Camden Adult Community Learning - Art and Crafts for all the support and encouragement this year.

Residents have been out and about recently! 

Helena enjoyed a local cafe in the mild November afternoon, a lovely change of scenery! Ruth, Jackie and Peggy visited a local Community Centre for a charity coffee morning, they enjoyed a lovely Saturday morning in the neighbourhood.

Residents at Wellesley Road enjoyed a fun Halloween. We wore outrageous hats and funny masks, we decorated biscuits with icing, we had a singalong and danced to our favourite tunes and finally we tucked into a lovely range of tea and snacks in the afternoon.

Lynn, from Wellesley Road Care Home is delighted with her new look, courtesy of Goddess Salon in North London. Afterwards Lynn and staff enjoyed a stroll around the neighbourhood in the autumn sunshine. Michael also had a fun afternoon playing games which encouraged relaxation. A good chat and a few laughs contributed to a good time.

Wellesley Road Care Home in Camden welcomed Jane from Akademi/Dancewell, promoting wellbeing through music, seated exercises and dance. A good time had by all!

A group of local 16 and 17 year olds have been thanked by a Camden care home for supporting residents with dementia as part of the National Citizen Service (NCS).
