Waverley House
We’ve been hatching chicks at Waverley House and all 7 eggs hatched successfully! Residents, relatives, and staff loved being part of this egg-citing experience – so many smiles and joyful moments were shared. A huge thank you to Incredible Eggs for making it happen!
On top of that, we celebrated our Elvis theme day in style! Our tables were set like an American diner with a delicious menu, and we were entertained by the fabulous Carl Fisher (aka Elvis). Residents had a fantastic time, and some were delightfully flustered by his performance!
We had wonderful homemade cakes from our kitchen and fabulous music from Rob & Sylvia.
To celebrate our amazing team, we hosted a large staff brunch for everyone to enjoy. It was a great opportunity for colleagues to come together, relax, and share some good food. As a small token of our gratitude, each staff member also received a gift to thank them for their hard work and dedication.
Waverley House recently held a special celebration to honour the outstanding commitment of its long-serving team members, who together have contributed an impressive 90 years of service.
Employees reaching key milestones were each presented with a certificate, badg, and gift in recognition of their dedication and years of compassionate care.
Also in attendance was The Mayor of Leominster, Councillor Tessa Smith-Winnard, who personally congratulate the team.
Thank you to the entire team at Waverley House for their continued dedication, compassion, and the exceptional care they provide every day.
Residents welcomed Sam, an opera singer to Waverley House. Followed by afternoon tea and cake!
Sandra, was a finalist in the recent 2023 Shaw Star Awards, sadly she could not make the awards evening but was still thrilled to receive her trophy afterwards. Congratulations Sandra for being a finalist.
We loved going to our local church to celebrate the Harvest Festival.
We held a Macmillan Coffee Morning on the 29th of Septemeber. It was a great morning with lots of chats and coffee! We managed to raise just over £166.

Waverley House, in Leominster have been enjoying celebrating five, ten and fifteen years of long service this September.
