Homefield House is a 24 bed dementia nursing care home situated in a vibrant residential area, close to shops in Rooksdown on the outskirts of Basingstoke. The single storey home was purpose built and comprises a central arcade area, where all residents can wander safely.

I have always been passionate about helping people, which led me to pursue a career in nursing. I completed my degree in 2014 and worked as a dental nurse in Romania for a year before joining Shaw Healthcare in 2015 as an overseas nurse. Since then, I have been given incredible opportunities to grow and develop my skills. In 2020, I was promoted to Deputy Manager, and a year later, I became the Home Manager. I am committed to continuous improvement—both in myself and in the quality of care we provide to our residents and their families. At Homefield House Nursing Home, we strive to create a warm, friendly environment where teamwork ensures the best possible care for our residents.

I have been in a management role since 2017, working in various healthcare settings, continuously developing my skills and seeking new challenges. I joined Homefield House as Deputy Manager in March 2023. My journey in healthcare began 29 years ago, inspired by the time I spent in and out of hospitals with my father. My first job was as a Housekeeping Assistant at The Mount Hospital, where I discovered my passion for caring for others and making a meaningful difference in people's lives. Throughout my career, I have embraced opportunities for growth, working towards higher-level management. I am currently studying for my Level 5 qualification in Adult Social Care. Since joining Shaw Healthcare, I have also taken on the role of EOT Representative, allowing me to be a voice and advocate for our staff.
Sarah Costache - Deputy Manager
I have been in a management role since 2017, working in various healthcare settings, continuously developing my skills and seeking new challenges. As a qualified Holistic Creative Therapist and a TimeSlips Certified Facilitator I bring this skillset into Homefield House to enrich the lives of your loved ones. I very much enjoy spending time with each resident, getting to know them and encouraging them to try new things together. We laugh a lot together and I feel very lucky and privileged to be able to come in every day and make a difference to the residents at Homefield House. Exhibiting our residents’ poems and stories at the local museum and railway station as well as printing two books of their poems has been a particular highlight as well as Winning a National Star Award in 2024 for the category of Wellness, Happiness and Kindness. I definitely have the best job ever!
Rosi Pineiro - Activities Champion
