A resident has celebrated her 100th birthday at Plas Cae Crwn
Marjorie Jones was joined by her nephew and his wife, residents and staff, the mayor - councillor John Byrne – and other local councillors for a party to celebrate the big occasion which included a buffet lunch and celebratory drinks.
Marjorie has lived in Newtown all her life, focusing on her career at a local building company where she started as a typist and progressed to contract manger before she retired.
She enjoys a tipple of sherry and says that she loves it when the local school children visit the home.
Service manager, Nikki Hughes, said: “Marjorie has been with us for almost five years so it was lovely to be able to give her the special day she deserves. She is a wonderful character and we all love to hear her stories.”
Happy birthday Marjorie!
