Liv and Brian are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today! Compliments to Jon the Chef, kitchen team and the lovely staff for making it so special.
Residents celebrated St Patrick's Day by drinking Guinness! For those that didnt like it, we had the choice of Prosecco, Carlsberg or Cider as well.
We also sampled some smoothies after our Swoove exercsie class as well.
Marilyn enjoying a visit on Saturday from her Son, Granddaughter and Great Granddaughter. Marilyn was very happy to get a photo of four generations together.
Peggy had a visit yesterday from her new Great, great granddaughter Nova, who is now Peggy's 35th grandchild!
The children from the local childminder came to visit us. The residents played catch with the balloons with the children and they sang some nursery rhymes.
We wanted to say a massive to thank you to Julie & Daisy, they have been dedicated and come in on there days off to support Forest View, as well as giving quality care to the residents!

Residents enjoyed our market that we held recently. We also had a visit from Elvis, everyone loved it.
Forest View celebrated their long serving employees recently.
We celebrated 11 employees in total, all receiving certificates for 5 to 20 years of service.
Local councillors joined us for this event, including Cllr Rodney Jackson, the chair of Mid Sussex Council.

Our Burns Night afternoon tea. The residents enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea with haggis also well received.
As part of National Mental Wellness Month we have set up a gratitude tree so that staff can spread a little positivity across the home.

Residents celebrating World Kindness Day at Forest View. We all wrote down an act of Kindness that we want to do for others.
Everyone had a great time at our Forest View Halloween party! There were lots of Halloween snacks and game for the residents to try.
A round of mini golf enjoyed by some of our residents today. We also had a decorate a pumpkin competition, here are some residents with their art work.

Plenty of keen golfers! Friday afternoon was miserable so we decided to involve the residents and staff in a friendly crazy golf competition, deep concentration by all.
Great day out to the Bluebell Railway for residents, families and staff. Enjoyed especially by the train enthusiasts!
Residents and staff were overwhelmed with Joy today when Tinkerbell and Blossom the adorable ponies visited.

We have been busy recently at Forest View...
We firstly enjoyed a homemade game of Air Hockey. The following day we held a market fully of yummy fruit and baked goods!
After enjoying all the food from the market we took part in a Swoove armchair fitness class....
We finished the week with our gardening club, green fingers all around!
We have had fun at Forest View icing biscuits, flower arranging and dancing and singing to music! Great fun had by all.
We enjoyed a visit from a local nursery that came to visit the resident’s. We also had fun celebrating Peggy Kings 96th Birthday, the entertainer singing for her was Grace.
Lots of activity at Forest View this friday! We had our Friday Market, John Beever the entertainer and Sylvia’s birthday celebrations.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed their painting session on Thursday afternoon... and aren't they all just wonderful!
A puppy called Hughie came to visit residents and we all absolutly loved meeting him! We also enjoyed some coronation crafts.
Residents at Forest View recently enjoyed a trip to the garden centre, air hockey, exercise classes and most importantly.. the sunshine!
Laura our lovely hair dresser put on ABBA on for the residents to enjoy whilst waiting for their hair appointments.
We received a lovely hamper for the staff to share from a residents family to say thank you for all the hard work. Well done Team!
Residents enjoyed a lovely visit from one of our staffs bunny. We also had entertainment from Victor and Sue the residents love them! We have chicken eggs that are ready to hatch...
The Easter Fayre was a wonderful success with Live singing, Tombola and a fantastic Raffle. Laureen our Admin was instrumental to raising the prizes for the raffle so we want to say a big thank you to her and all that donated prizes, Forest View Raised a whooping £352.00 on the day.

This has been awarded to Jinette for her constant creativity and enthusiasm she brings into our residents lives, she is also very supportive with our new staff.
Our resident Martin celebrated his wedding anniversary at Forest View, with a private two course lunch in our family room, they both very much enjoyed the experience and were very grateful.
On Pancake Day the residents enjoyed a game of pancake flipping. We also enjoyed some music and dance.
Entertainers Victor and Munro came to Forest View. All the residents enjoyed. We also did some cooking activities recently.
Residents enjoyed an afternoon full of entertainment thanks to Elvis tribute entertainer called David Greenaway from Care Entertainment. Everyone really enjoyed his visit as you can see!
Forest View market day! We have a monthly market in the home selling flowers, a few gift items, cakes, biscuits and fresh fruit for the residents to purchase and also for their families to attend.
Forest view had a doll therapy session recently. We Introduced our new baby "Grace" to the residents. The activity exceeded all our expectations with our residents being animated and affectionate when handling her.
One of our lovely residents here at Forest View, Marion, transforms her bedroom into a Christmas grotto every year, it is very festive!
It was a weekend of puzzles at Forest View. Some of the residents have also been practicing their strictly come dancing moves.

In 1941, Kathleen joined the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) and was posted to Blackpool, where she learnt to drive and was the first person in her family to do so. After passing her test, Kathleen was posted to the Motor Transport Division in RAF Pembrey, South Wales, where she drove cars, ambulances and American, left-hand drive 30 hundredweight Fordson trucks.
