Joan and Dick our Croft Meadow residents celebrated their 73rd Wedding Anniversary last weekend. How amazing, a huge congratulations to you both!

Residents also enjoyed a visit from Pet Pals this week. We all had a hold of some chicks and also had the opportunity to meet Holly the 6 week old lamb, some even helped feed her!

Croft Meadow had the honour of celebrating Ronald Brignall’s 100th birthday! Thank you to Alexis for entertaining us all on the day!

Ron’s Son found a newspaper cutting from when Ron was just 16 and ‘saved’ Cardiff’s City Hall. This was recognised on the day with a visit from Lord Mayor of Cardiff. We also had visits from the RAF which provided Ron with his service history and a birthday card, and local cadets from Steyning.

We all watched him on BBC news last night and Ron managed to stay up late enough to see himself too, a very proud moment!

The Residents did a fantastic job decorating Easter bonnets!

Croft residents each received an Easter Egg on Easter Sunday and also a handmade card from the pupils of Ashurst Primary School! We would like to say Thank you so much for such a lovely thought!

Many thanks to everyone who donated and purchased cakes to raise money towards our donations fund at Easter Time! A special thanks to Amanda and Kim for helping to sell cakes! Good job… We raised an amazing £180! 👍

Croft Meadow residents enjoyed a regular Poetry Session this was hosted by David Tulley a local poet. The theme this week was ‘Love’.

What a fantastic week! Croft Meadow residents had a trip to 'Out of Bounds' for a game of bowling! Our residents never cease to amaze us with their determination to achieve a goal which to begin with they never thought they could do!
Many thanks to the staff at Out of Bounds for their help and kindness to ensure everyone had a brilliant time.

Thank you to Steyning District Churches Together for visiting Croft to celebrate with an Easter Service. Residents really enjoy their monthly gathering which includes many volunteers who sit and join in with our residents!

Croft Meadow Gardening Club has officially begun. Thank you to our wonderful volunteer Kirsty for helping residents begin planting seeds!

Another busy week at Croft from cake decorating, enjoying musical theatre group Kadenza, showing skill and judgement playing Target to Karaoke afternoon including exercise and so much fun. Well done to our wonderful residents!

What a fantastic opening evening to our very first Croft Meadow's Men Club. Everyone had a lovely evening and can’t wait for the next one!

Well done to Akhil for getting Employee of the Month for February! Akhil has been nominated by his colleagues for his hard work. Akhil is always joining in with activities and loves to have a dance with the residents. Thank you Akhil!

Croft Meadow has had a good week, our wonderful dementia floor dancing, exercising and singing.

We also enjoyed a trip to the local garden centre for coffee and cake. 🎂

A big thank you to Sarah for entertaining residents, we had a lovely day with lots of singing and dancing!

A wonderful mornings church service held at Croft Meadow, so lovely for so many volunteers to attend and spend time with our residents!
Also, Margaret was over the moon when she received her first Famileo Gazette!

We have had a busy few days, from a full house at bingo, our wonderful residents smashing our song and dance session and then a trip up the high street for morning coffee. So much fun!

Residents and staff smashed our pancake flipping afternoon! Everyone had a brilliant time. We also celebrated Valentine's Day here at Croft. We first prepared by laying tables and cutting roses... and then the party began!
Thank you to Kim for a fantastic afternoon. We also enjoyed viewing wedding pictures and guessing who is who!
So wonderful for us to have so many relatives join us to celebrate Valentine's Day. ❤

Croft Meadow residents enjoyed a Christmas Party on Christmas Eve with Alexis entertaining us, plenty of singing and dancing! Then Christmas Day we were visited by Father Christmas to deliver everyone’s gifts. Thank you so much for coming by on your busy day. 🎅

Croft Meadow enjoyed a Christmas Lunch at the local pub, The White Horse in Steyning. As always thanks for your great service!

Christmas arts n crafts! Residents were busy creating and decorating Christmas decs…a fantastic job which helped to create our Friendship and Seasonal tree so lovely to see. Well done everyone.

We also enjoyed trips out last week, a late night drive to see the Christmas lights and some lunches out!

Christmas Jumper Day at Croft Meadow!

Residents and staff dressed in their Christmas jumpers and enjoyed a morning of Christmas carols sung by our local Primary school.

Residents had decorated gingerbread biscuits to give out to the children to say thank you for visiting!

We also enjoyed a visit from the year 12’s from our local Steyning grammar school. They enjoyed making paper chains and colouring. Residents said they had a wonderful morning.

He checked the Xmas tree was finished and after having such a busy day sat and chatted with June and Brian!

We have had a busy week at Croft Meadow! Residents have been making autumnal and Halloween decorations. We had a pampering and film morning with Harry Potter, and the dementia unit had a competitive game of darts!

Another lovely trip out with our wonderful residents at Southwater Country Park. It was a beautiful day with lovely weather enjoying coffee and cake.

What a wonderful morning at Croft Meadow selling cakes for Macmillan, such a worthwhile cause! A big thank you to Amanda for all your help, to Betty and Jess who were busy out the front encouraging people to buy and all the care team for their support. A brilliant team effort thank you! 

Residents enjoyed a visit from “Doris” the terrier who behaved so well, also our local sixth form students who found a spare hour or two during their busy schedule to sit and chat with residents. Thank you so much, the residents told me how lovely it was to meet you all!

Croft Meadow residents enjoyed a trip to Arundel to feed the ducks with an ice cream!

Thank you to Bruce and Peta Ives for brining Baron and Luke the alpacas to visit us all at Croft Meadow! They were amazing and the residents have the best time.

Croft Residents enjoyed a morning of Boccia and then in the afternoon we made the most of the lovely weather! A wonderful afternoon in the garden fancy cakes, tea, singing and bubbles!

What a lovely way to start a new week, a visit from Steyning Churches. Lots of singing and love within the meeting this morning. Lovely to have a relative take part in the service, thank you to everyone who took part.

Brilliant game of darts for everyone! It was so much fun that they have already asked to do it all again tomorrow!

Always lovely to have visits from our youngsters. So much interaction everyone couldn’t help but smile! Residents also enjoyed a new game this afternoon called Cornhole, everyone said they loved the challenge and were really happy joining in! Well done to all of you for giving it a go.

Croft Meadow enjoyed minibus trips last week. Our lovely residents went out for lunch at ‘Rockwater’ on Hove seafront! We braved the weather and had a wonderful time! Many thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.

Last week Croft Meadow enjoyed a 4 day Cruise.

Resident set sail on Day 1 to Italy where they enjoyed pizza, quizzes, boccia!

On day 2 we were off to Mexico. Residents enjoyed a cocktail or two. Residents enjoyed talking about past holidays to Mexico and the other countries we are visiting!

Day 3 it was onto the USA where we enjoyed more cocktails, doughnuts and milkshakes and a Karaoke session with American music….

Day 4 we took a long cruise back to France for our last day, starting the day right with croissants in the garden! Residents have really enjoyed visiting all the different countries and learning about different foods and culture… Enid said to me ‘When are we going away again’!

Croft Meadow held a Sports Afternoon on Friday. Residents said they had so much fun! Residents all received medals and enjoyed a glass of Pimms, soft drinks, nibbles and cakes…So deserved. Thank you to relatives and staff for taking part too 🎾⚽🎽🎯

Residents are loving being in the garden whether it be spending time with loved ones or singing Karaoke, residents voices are amazing! A special thank you to the late Thelma Baber's family for the donation of our new bench.

Croft Meadow held a Cake Sale on Friday, we raised over £100. Thank you for all the support, to all those who donated cakes and to those who came and bought cakes! 🧁

We also enjoyed a visit from Pet Pals. It was a lovely morning with Pet Therapy, Guinea Pigs were exceptionally well behaved and the ducks were loving life….

Residents enjoyed a drink and nibbles at the Croft Arms along with a quiz and a game of Boccia! A lovely afternoon 🍷

Croft Meadow have been busy creating a new ‘Indoor Garden’ area for residents and visitors to enjoy.  Thank you to relatives that came to our garden party opening on Friday and also to Regional Director Martin Vanhinsbergh and Operations Manager Clare Gibson for popping in!

Croft's nursing floor packed with residents ready to play ‘Bean Bag Boccia’ So lovely to see so many residents on nursing floor overcoming their individual difficulties to come together and play games! Also lovely to welcome residents from other floors to join in too one big family. 

Croft residents enjoyed an afternoon at the aces! So much fun! Well done to Rosemary who had the most chips after all the races! Well done everyone!

We had a lovely trip out to the local Garden Centre, Riley our canine friend had a lovely time too. Such a good boy! A very energetic afternoon was had by all with Balloon Tennis whilst Sue was enjoying a peaceful few minutes during the morning doing a jigsaw puzzle. We'd also like to say a big thank you to our volunteers who visit weekly to interact with our residents. Croft residents love this time and it gives them a chance to show off their skills. To round up our recent activities...Steyning District Churches visited this morning! What a lovely start to a new week. What a bonus the sun was also shining. 🌞

Residents got into the Christmas spirit by wearing different Christmas headbands, don’t they look cute! We also had our Croft Meadow Christmas Party, residents pulled crackers, sung a song or two, and were entertained by the wonderful ‘Kim Bonsor’ Thank you Kim. Today Steyning, District Churches together visited Croft Meadow, we had a lovely morning full of singing carols, readings and prayer! So lovely to see family members joining us too. Thank you SDCT for visiting we loved it. Croft Meadow Residents would like to say a massive Thank You to all the pupils at Ashurst Primary School for making, personally signing and sending such lovely Christmas cards! It was such a lovely thought and was much appreciated. The residents also enjoyed a trip to the local pub for a Christmas meal, look at the size of the ice creams!

Residents enjoyed a wonderful performance of Christmas carols from our local Steyning Primary School, year 6 pupils gave up their lunch break to visit Croft Meadow. Croft meadow is also getting in the Christmas spirit with our Christmas decorations!

Christmas has begun at Croft Meadow! Maureen and Selina certainly made a brilliant job of decorating our first tree. Residents also enjoyed an impromptu song and dance.

What a lovely Monday morning to have Pet Pals Therapy visit us at Croft Meadow. Residents absolutely loved the opportunity to stroke those cute bunnies and also ornamental chickens!

Dolly had a lovely day celebrating her 87th birthday at Elizabeth House Bognor Regis.
