Deciding to work in Care
Alysha was looking for work that fitted around childcare for her son and there was a home local to her that did just that. Alysha loved it from the start and she knew Shaw was where she could develop her career.

Career progression with Shaw
Alysha started as Shaw as a Support Worker in 2007 in Beech Close in Desborough before moving up to a team leader, overseeing a small team of staff in 2009. In 2014 Alysha was given the opportunity to act as Manager before being offered the same position at Lancum house in Wellingborough in 2015. February 2018 saw Alysha become the registered manager of Beech Close before moving back to Lancum House as registered manager in July 2020.

Qualifications
While working at Shaw Alysha has achieved her NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care as well as ‘Leading Care the Matters’.

Alysha was a finalist in the 2021 National Shaw star awards for the category of ‘Outstanding Management Contribution’.
