We enjoyed a fantastic day at Sycamore Lodge on Friday, as residents and staff came together for a World Cup-themed celebration.
The unit looked amazing, decorated with flags from countries around the world, creating a real tournament atmosphere.
The day’s main event was a friendly football match between staff and residents. Played as seated football, it was full of fun, laughter, and plenty of competitive spirit. Several residents got involved and showed off their football skills, with the Blue Team eventually coming out on top with a thrilling 5–4 win.
After all the excitement, everyone enjoyed a barbecue lunch cooked by the management team, with burgers and hot dogs proving very popular.
To round off the day, our resident musician Dave hosted a football-themed musical afternoon. Residents sang along to some familiar favourites and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, bringing a wonderful end to a memorable day.
It was lovely to see so many smiles throughout the day, and we’d like to thank everyone who helped make the event such a success.
