Feeling festive at Maes-Y-Wennol

Residents at Maes-Y-Wennol enjoyed a day trip to Coed-Y-Dinas garden centre last week, during the daytrip the residents enjoyed a bus ride, marvelled at the Christmas displays, enjoyed seeing the animals, had lunch at the restaurant and had a chance to do some Christmas shopping.

Residents enjoyed musical entertainment yesterday afternoon from singer Mansel Davies!

To raise money for Children in Need Maes-y-Wennol did crazy hat/hair day and also had a raffle.

We raised £58.15 for an amazing cause, congratulations to Maria one of our support workers who won the raffle!

Residents at Maes-Y-Wennol had a busy evening for Guy Fawkes Night, they watched a sparkler display through the lounge windows. Those that wanted to also wrapped up warm to go in the garden to watch our local Llanidloes annual firework display and enjoyed a warming hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Well done everyone who participated it was the largest group we have ever had out in the garden to watch the display!
