Staff at Wellesley Road care home in Camden are getting involved in an initiative which makes it easier for the service to connect with the local community.

Care Home Friends and Neighbours (Care Home FaNs) is a national project that is helping care homes to connect meaningfully with their local community to enhance the quality of life of older people and those that support them.

Home Manager, Michele Tricker and Activity Champions, Rupert Alexander and Ve Homer, joined other managers and activity champions, for the first of a series of local sessions that will showcase approaches, offer practical ideas and resources to help us get more local people involved in the home.

Wellesley Road look forward to building even stronger relationships with people and places of relevance to our residents.

Residents enjoy spending time with  local community groups such as

Queens Crescent Community Centre, See Through Theatre Art & Crafts, local street carnivals and Kentish Town Farm and look forward to making many more friends in the community.
