Employees at Woodview were thanked earlier this month for their dedication and commitment during the pandemic.

The special event was attended by residents and the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Anne Millward, who presented staff with certificates.

Alongside the celebrations, 13 staff members were recognised for their long service, celebrating a combined 152 years’ service.. One staff member, Anne Bennett, has worked at the care home for 32 years.

She said: “I am very proud to work for the team at Woodview. I am very lucky to have found a job 32 years ago that I still love today where I work alongside some incredible people. This event was truly enjoyed by all, including our lovely residents.”

Other guests included CEO of Shaw healthcare, Russell Brown and regional director, Stacey Meredith, who thanked the staff for their hard work and commitment to Shaw.

Maxine Barcas, service manager at Woodview, commented: “We had a wonderful time celebrating our staff’s successes over the last two years, which have been the most challenging and difficult times of our careers. I am beyond proud of my team and the way everyone has pulled together. It makes me very happy to see the staff get the recognition they deserve.”

Woodview care home provides nursing care for up to 24 residents including those living with dementia.
