Staff and residents at Hillside Lodge in West Sussex hosted a fashion-themed charity coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The team from Hillside Lodge in Pulborough managed to raise over £100 for the charity, which offers emotional, physical and financial support to those who have been diagnosed with cancer.

As well as an abundance of cakes and drinks on offer, the staff organised a nostalgic fashion show through the ages which showcased all the fashions from the 1930’s through to the 1990’s.

The residents loved seeing the different outfits being paraded on the catwalk and reminiscing about their wardrobes over the years.

Teresa Shell, service manager, said: “It was lovely to be able to welcome the relatives of our residents back into the home for such a fun event. Everyone enjoyed it and we are very much looking forward to more events at the home and welcoming in the local community.”

Hillside Lodge provides residential care for up to 60 people including those living with dementia.
