On Easter Monday, Maes-Y-Wennol hosted a wonderful fundraising day filled with joy and community spirit. Residents enjoyed a visit from an ice cream truck, treating everyone to a delicious 99, as well as a special appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was lovely to watch children from the local community take part in an Easter egg hunt, alongside a raffle, lucky dip, and refreshments throughout the day.
Last Friday, residents also enjoyed a beautiful spring trip to the Elan Valley Visitor Centre. They spent the journey singing songs and admiring the stunning views, followed by lunch at the restaurant. Despite the chilly weather, they braved a scenic walk, explored the museum displays, and finished the day with a browse in the gift shop.
A particularly heartwarming moment was when one of our lovely ladies, aged 100, had the special opportunity to meet and hold a six-week-old baby – a truly precious experience.
