I joined Team Burleys in 2008 when the doors first opened, starting as a night support worker—a role that fit well around my family life. Over the years, I progressed to Team Leader and, in 2019, was promoted to Deputy Manager. I have worked in the care sector for 26 years, beginning in a private nursing home before spending 11 years in a specialist dementia home with the London Borough of Sutton. After relocating to Crawley, I worked in domiciliary care before joining Burleys Wood. I am passionate about making a difference every day, supporting both residents and staff, and helping to promote independence and new skills. Working here is a privilege, and I feel lucky to be part of such a dedicated team. The 2020 pandemic brought challenges I had never faced before, but I am incredibly proud of how we pulled together, ensuring our residents continued to receive the highest standard of care while supporting one another through difficult times.
