Welcome to Figbury Lodge. At Figbury Lodge we aim to run a service that delivers the type of care that we would want for our own loved ones. The Service manager, team leaders, administrators, support workers, domestics, cooks, activities champions and maintenance operatives ensure that we have considered all angles of making Figbury Lodge as much of a home as possible.
Figbury Lodge, in Canford Heath, will provide 50 care and 10 nursing beds, alongside 20 intermediate beds – a bridge between hospital and home – 10 of which will also be nursing.
The healthcare provider behind Canford Heath’s new state of the art care home is on the lookout for creative minds, after launching a poetry competition to inspire the creation of original art.

A new dedicated care home for specialist nursing and dementia in Poole has been officially handed over by the contractors to BCP Council and Shaw healthcare.
Community engagement is important to us at Shaw so we were delighted to be asked to sponsor the Canford Music Festival in May.

Dear relatives,
I’m pleased to say that Shaw is making fantastic progress with the COVID-19 vaccinations. The majority of our staff and residents have been vaccinated and scheduled to get the second dose shortly.
The national statistics being reported suggest that we are over the second peak and there is light at the end of the tunnel. To get back to ‘normal’ and the life we once knew we will all need to be vaccinated to help our chances to overcome COVID-19 should we catch it and to prevent it from spreading to each other.
Each of our care homes has been doing everything in their power to ensure that residents and employees are vaccinated. The LFT testing continues to help us operate to manage the visiting, as well as exercising social distancing, using PPE, hand washing, risk assessments and adhering to all other public health guidelines.
We appreciate your continued support and understanding of the situation that the care homes face to protect your loved ones. I sincerely hope that we can get back to visiting as we once knew it.
