Barton Mews has once again been announced as a finalist in the EAC Housing Awards. The extra care development was awarded gold for the best UK Housing-with-care scheme at the 2010 EAC Housing awards which took place in February 2010 at Lords Cricket ground.
The EAC (Elderly Accommodation Counsel) is a national charity that aims to help older people make informed choices about meeting their housing and care needs. Residents of retirement housing voted for their schemes by participating in a specially designed card game which generated topics for discussion and satisfactory ratings on the design and services of the scheme.
The bronze, silver and golden awards will be announced and presented at the Awards Ceremony at Ascot Racecourse on 3rd February 2011. There are 34 finalists which have been shortlisted from 847 nominations.
