We are thrilled to announce that Sarah Lees, service manager at Cartref Cleddau in Pembroke Dock, has been awarded the esteemed Queen’s Nurse title by the Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI).

This nationally recognised title is a mark of excellence in community nursing and is awarded to nurses who demonstrate a high level of commitment to patient-centred care, leadership, and community service. Sarah's dedication, compassion, and professionalism make her an outstanding recipient of this honour.

Speaking about the award, Sarah said: “I’m incredibly proud to receive the Queen’s Nurse title. It reflects not just my work, but the commitment of the entire team at Cartref Cleddau to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. It’s a privilege to be part of a service that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.”

Sarah joins a prestigious network of nurses across the UK recognised for their outstanding contribution to community health. Her achievement shines a spotlight on the exceptional standards of care being delivered at Cartref Cleddau.

Sarah will travel to London on 28th November to receive her Queen’s Nurse badge and certificate at an official ceremony hosted by the Queen’s Nursing Institute.
