This afternoon, managers and regional staff from West Sussex, London, Hampshire, and Northampton participated in an insightful awareness session. During the event, they engaged in hands-on activities such as solving puzzles, setting tables, sorting cards, and searching for articles in books, all while wearing the empathy suit. Following these exercises, teams and individuals gathered to reflect on their experiences, discussing how wearing the suit provided a powerful glimpse into the daily challenges our residents face and the potential benefits it brings to our care staff.
Regional Director Martin Vanhinsbergh shared his enthusiasm, saying, "The use of the empathy suit and the feedback from the team were fantastic. I'm really excited to see Shaw leading the way with this innovative training and how beneficial it will be for all staff who participate."
