PFI experience

The Private Finance Initiative is a complex area and Shaw has considerable experience as:

• Lead Contractor
• An FM sub-contractor
• A Consortium member or relevant organisation

Shaw is party to the following PFI Contracts:

Northampton PFI – Shaw is lead contractor on the project which comprises the design, development, build, finance and operation of 4 No Specialist Care Centres completed in 2005.The centres each contain 51 beds around a street design and include spa, library, shop, extensive rehab and therapy suites which deliver services to a range of client groups.

Kent PFI – Shaw is the FM sub-contractor on the project which comprises two care centres, each one comprising 60 beds and a day centre to a variety of client groups, and offices for the Council and NHS.

Shropshire PFI – Shaw is the FM sub-contractor on the project which comprises six care and resource centres, each one different and providing a range of services including library, gymnasium, assessment centres, day care facility, regional LA and NHS offices, cafes and a 40 bed care home.
