On Friday 4th June over 80 people attended a fete at Beech Close Care Home in Desborough, Northants. Norma the activity coordinator had worked tirelessly organising and preparing a fete to raise funds for more resident’s activities. The event was publicised very well in the local area via radio, local papers and businesses. One very special attendee was newly elected conservative MP for Kettering and the surrounding area, Mr Philip Hollobourn. Team Leader Sandra Kyle's 5 year old son Andrew was overjoyed to welcome the MP into his Mum’s workplace (picured bottom right).
Over £400 profit was made on the day from a variety of stalls and games. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the event and many helped on stalls or with preparation of tasks. The sun shone and everyone had a great time. Thank you Norma; were all looking forward to the next event you arrange for us.
