A new residential dementia unit, accommodating 12 service users, has open at Shaw's Longlands specialist care centre in Daventry, Northants. Primrose Place offers respite care and rehabilitation and has been sanctioned by Northamptonshire County Council and the Care Quality Commission.

Francine Halcrow, the Centre manager, said, "We’ve eagerly awaited the opening of these new facilities at Longlands and are raring to go.  The unit has been refurbished and staff have been undertaking additional training in dementia and palliative care and we are looking forward to welcoming our new client group".
