It seems art is the key to unlocking memories. Art students at Steyning Grammar School have brightened the lives of residents at Croft meadow
The students have completed a special project in the home and produced large murals for the walls which are very flamboyant and feature patterns and animals. Some of the residents are unable to communicate verbally but they see things in the murals and it makes their day.
Beckie Condie, home manager, said, "The walls were just plain before and we wanted to do something for the people with dementia".
The Students, who carried out the painting in their own time, said that they enjoyed the project and hoped that the residents will enjoy looking at them for years to come.
