Sandalwood care home saw the arrival of some new residents of the feathery kind last week.  Some chickens are settling into their new home very nicely and seem to be enjoying the eco-friendly garden which is certainly taking shape at the home. Residents have plenty to do to keep them active and their most recent project is the eco garden where residents can grow vegetables, flowers and fruit. Home manager, Paula Dutton, said, “The interest has been fantastic and many residents can’t wait to get out into the garden after breakfast.  The next stage is to create a compost bin using green waste from the kitchen”.
