Shaw Healthcare’s CEO Jeremy Nixey has generously donated to the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund via one of his employees fundraising initiatives.
Clare Telford who works within Shaw’s HR department wished to raise money for CPBF in her own unique way. Clare was pregnant with her first child and set up a ‘guess the time and date of arrival baby' game. For a small donation everyone was invited to guess when they thought bump would become baby! The winner Jan Morgan of Shaw Healthcare received £30 Marks and Spencer vouchers for guessing that baby Ella Grace Gibbs would arrive on 24th October 2010 at 9pm! The baby game, along with Jeremy’s kind donation, rose well over £1000 for the CPBF.
The CPBF provides assistance to individuals currently working in the care sector to relieve financial hardship and sickness through grants, advice and guidance. Those who have formerly worked in the sector are also supported, as are their dependents.
Shaw healthcare values the hard work and important contribution care professionals provide on a daily basis and wished to say thank you to individuals who require that little extra support in difficult times.
The donation was officially presented by Jeremy Nixey CEO, Shaw Healthcare to Nick Kershaw, Business Development Manager, CPBF at the national Caring Times Awards in London attended by key individuals of the Care Industry.
