Tanya Smith the regional trainer held a meeting for all manual handling instructors within the East Midlands on 3rd November.

14 instructors attended from across the region. The aim of the day was to promote safety for all staff and residents, with the opportunity for staff to develop their skills. Offering direction to enable home manual handling instructors  to maintain  good working practice standards whilst at the same time offering opportunities to increase knowledge, share knowledge, ideas and experiences.

Tanya arranged a demonstration by Marcus Hubbard from Arjo (pictured with Manual Handling instructor Janet Brown from Victoria House in Rushden). 

Feedback from all instructors was very positive and it was thought that it is a great way to learn.
