Spectacular falconry displays in some of our West Sussex care homes.
|
A Spectacular falconry display bridged the generation gap in Petworth when children from the primary school joined elderly residents of the Rotherlea Care Home to watch the feathers fly. Also there to watch the fun were members of the Aldingbourne Trust for people with learning difficulties. It was a special event organised by activities Co-ordinator and fundraiser at the care home, Ian-James Delves, to celebrate a new community link between the care home and the two organisations. "We are a community and the different generations should be coming together for activities. Here at Rotherlea we have a variety of things planned to make that happen", he said. The probation service has arranged for offenders to carry out their community service by designing and building raised beds and wheelchair paths for a vegetable patch at the care home. |
