House Keeping (Supervisor / Assistant)
What's Involved?
- Contributing to the wellbeing of residents by making sure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards
- Minimising the risk of infection by following detailed cleaning programmes
- Ensuring that the environment is pleasant for staff, relatives and visitors as well as residents by paying attention to detail with all cleaning tasks
- Interacting with residents and ensuring that their privacy and dignity is respected at all times
- Following Health and Safety guidelines by ensuring that all cleaning agents and equipment are used properly
- Becoming a member of the team that deliver direct care
Pay Rates
Depends upon size and location of home and range of services offered in the home: A home may have 10 beds or 90 beds.
Share Ownership
All staff working for Shaw Group companies are offered the opportunity of becoming part owners of Shaw by acquiring shares in the company after a qualifying period.
Qualifications
- The most important qualification is a positive, willing and friendly attitude and the belief that you are there to ensure the best standards possible for residents
- Hold or be willing to undertake an NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping
- Have attended or be willing to undertake training in Infection Control
