Support Worker (Secure Hospital)
What's Involved?
- Becoming part of a close knit committed team that provides a safe, well structured environment for people with severe mental health problems.
- Working closely with patients with serious mental health issues to help them to become better able to manage and enjoy their lives..
- Act as a key worker for named patients taking responsibility for the development, implementation, monitoring and reviewing of daily records plans
- Encouraging patients to take as much responsibility for their own lives as possible
Pay Rates
These depend upon experience, location and size of the hospital and range of services offered:
Share Ownership

Qualifications
- Being a caring, friendly and approachable person who wants to make a difference
- Previous experience in a locked/secure environment is preferred
- Willing to work towards NVQ level 2 and above
- Willing and able to take part in Physical Intervention Training

- Excellent training toward relevant NVQ Levels 2 and 3 Awards
- Attendance on specialist courses such as health and safety training, first aid training, resuscitation training, working with patients with mental health problems
