Our business has been built on the revenue from spot and long term (10-30 year) contracts with the NHS and Local Authorities. These still account for a significant volume of our order book (£1.3 billion at 31st March 2009). However a growing proportion of our care services are now purchased by individuals directly rather than by the State on their behalf.
