Residents at Croft Meadow care home had a star-studded surprise on Christmas Eve when a BAFTA nominee called by to spend some time with them.
Anna Chancellor, who features in the hit Netflix series The Crown as Lady Rosse, popped along to the care home, in Steyning, joined by her family and her four-legged friend, dog, Fig.
Ms Chancellor spent the evening with residents and enjoying singing, dancing, food and cocktails. Speaking with one resident in particular, Val Lynch, they reminisced together about places in London that they both knew well.
Christmas can be a very busy time for people and for Anna to take the time on Christmas Eve and spend it with residents made the festive period that bit extra special this year for everyone at the home. Each of the residents thoroughly enjoyed her visit and the fun that it brought to the home.
Ms Chancellor, who starred opposite Hugh Grant in the blockbuster movie Four Weddings and a Funeral’, was nominated for a BAFTA Best Supporting Actress award for her role in The Hour.
