Shaw staff celebrate International Nurses Day 2017

Nurses working were presented with a box of chocolates n Friday 12th May in celebration of Nurses Day 2017 as a thank you for the hard work and dedication they show in delivering the high standard of care across each of Shaw’s services.
Suzanne Hughes, Shaw’s Deputy CEO, who was visiting St Johns care home in Droitwich, commented: “As someone from a nursing background, I know only too well the demands placed on nurses and the commitment and devotion they show to those in their care. I wish I could personally thank each of our nurses for their contributions and the positive impact they have on the people using our services”.
The day is marked around the world on the 12th May, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, and celebrates the contributions made by nurses to the health and wellbeing of those they care for.
Shaw’s Director of Nursing, Ewan McLean, said: “I want to take the opportunity to thank all of Shaw’s Nurses for their dedication to the profession and the difference they make to the life’s of the people we care for in Shaw. Nurses are Healthcare’s Superhero’s and often your skills and compassion appear to go unnoticed, so please accept this small gift from Shaw just to say Thanks.”
